Sentimental Sunday

This is a postcard depicting the Old Rehobeth Methodist Church, located in Keenan, Monroe County, West Virginia, prior to its restoration in the eraly part of the 20th Century. This is the oldest church west of the Alleghany Divide.

Here is the church in 2008.  It is listed as a National Historic Place and on the Register.

Thanks for this post. I love old buildings, especially schools and churches -- reminds me how seriously and personally the older generations went about providing education -- religious and otherwise.
